The Dallas Children's Advocacy Center (DCAC) is a nationally-known leader in providing training to professionals who investigate and prosecute crimes against children and to those professionals who help children heal. For more than two decades, we have hosted the internationally recognized, Crimes Against Children Conference with more than 3,000 attendees annually. The conference provides practical and interactive instruction, using current information, to those fighting crimes against children and helping children heal.
As one of the leading Children's Advocacy Centers in the country, we began developing professionally-produced, high-quality, video-based curriculum to address a gap in the marketplace for comprehensive education and training for those who work with or care about children. We first began our community education initiative in Dallas County, eventually expanded to the State of Texas, and have now made our programs appropriate for national use.
In 2014 the DCAC Training Center was launched as a platform to host our video-based offerings for one-time users, as well as provide comprehensive facilitator resources to child-serving organizations. Our programs are applicable not only for school counselors, teachers, day care workers, church leaders, volunteers and others who work in child-serving organizations, but for parents and children also.
